National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Day Ride

Victoria Orange Shirt Day and Capital Bike are partners with Songhees Community member Diane Sam, on the 5th Annual Truth and Reconciliation Day Ride.
This event attracts hundreds of residents of the Region to deepen their knowledge of the harmful impacts of colonialism and demonstrate support.
The event feature testimony from residential school survivor Eddy Charlie of Quw'utsun and lessons from friends and allies Jenny Farkas and Su Hallett. After the presentations riders will be escorted by police and ride marshals for a 9.2Km family friendly ride to the South Island Powwow.
The event is free, however if you are able to provide a small donation here, it will support bicycle education for First Nations children and youth and other indigenous serving programs.
