Victoria One Act Play Festival

Showcase of local theatre at One Act Festival!
The Victoria One Act Play Festival is returning for its second year, bigger and better than before. With an exciting array of 13 new shows, all written and produced by local talent, this festival continues to highlight the vibrant theatre scene in Victoria.
From June 5-8, join us at Belfry Theatre for a celebration of creativity and community. This year’s lineup features a wide range of genres, ensuring there’s something to touch every audience member’s heart and stir their emotions. Many artists this year are recent grads from the Canadian College of Performing arts and University of Victoria’s theatre program. There are also other local talents, like musician Russell Wellner’s premiere musical about Fairy Creek.
Festival Director Kurt Archer expressed his enthusiasm for the growing festival, “After last year’s sold out success, we’re even more excited to spotlight our local playwrights and theatre groups. The community’s support has been phenomenal, and it’s inspiring to see so much talent right here in Victoria.”
