Goodbye, 2025 — Hello, 2026!
From the shoreline, The Zone watched many brave local participants dive into the icy waters at Sidney’s Polar Bear Swim, kicking off the new year with cheers, laughter, and plenty of shivers. Hundreds of people came out to take part, with a few standing out — the youngest participant was just 4 years old, and the oldest was 80! Sidney definitely knows how to start off 2026.
What's Next?
On January 10th, The Zone will be checking out the Herring Fish Market. Come by, say hi, and take home some delicious fish!
On January 10, at View Royal Elementary & Cedar Hill Cross Road, there will be the last wood chipping event to wrap up the Christmas season. Come by and get rid of your trees!
