Dead Summer is a Canadian alt-rock duo built on hooky riffs, bombastic drums, heavy grooves and songwriting that balances vulnerability with a little bit of sass. Featuring only bass and drums, Nate Prevedoros and Michael Wilford have carved out a distinct sound built on proving just how massive two musicians can be.
2025 saw the band hit major stages across Canada’s West Coast, including Phillips Backyard Weekender, Pacific FC Downtown Derby, FernFest, and Laketown Amphitheatre (the largest ticketed event in Vancouver Island history).
Along the way, they’ve shared stages with artists including Nickelback, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Glorious Sons, Two Feet, and Sam Roberts Band. Whether they’re playing packed clubs, festival stages, or your local record store, Nate and Michael bring an all or nothing energy that has earned them a reputation as a “must-see band” on the rise.
Dead Summer writes rock music that demands attention; from the earworm choruses of Melodramatic to the wild fuzzed-out urgency of Take it or Leave It, these songs are built for sweaty audiences, powerful sound systems, and repeat listens.
