Bio
Idle Lane are an alternative rock band that blend the vibes of the ’90s and production of the 2000s with the energy of the modern day. They’re a four-piece band whose sound relies on a classic two-guitar approach, a heavy groove based rhythm section, and a male lead vocal / female backing vocal.
Their sophomore album, Pedestal, which was mostly self-produced and was recorded locally, came out in August of 2025.
Some of their local performance highlights include FernFest 2022, Rifflandia 2023, and Laketown 2025. They’ve also played shows in Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal while touring to promote their new releases over the years. Main influences include Jane’s Addiction, Pixies, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins and Oasis.
