It's almost Halloween!
Halloween YYJ Market was a scream in the best way. Thanks to every maker, musician, and costumed character who packed the halls this weekend and turned local shopping into a full-on Halloween celebration. From hand-poured candles and wicked-cool art to sweet treats and last-minute costume finds, the vendors brought the magic, and you showed up big for small business. Until next year: keep it local, keep it creative, and keep those pumpkins glowing.
Make Space Storage’s “Spooktacular Grand Opening” on Mills Road in Sidney.
This past weekend, the brand-new Make Space Storage location on Mills Road in Sidney officially opened its doors and they did it in Halloween style! People turned out in costume to explore the new facility while enjoying a full afternoon of Halloween fun, local eats, and family-friendly activities.
Guests wandered through Halloween-themed storage units decked out with cobwebs, pumpkins, and ghoulish surprises, collected treats from unit to unit during indoor trick-or-treating, and stopped by for face painting and glitter tattoos for the kids. The celebration also included a free lunch, raffle prizes (including a coveted YETI cooler), and special one-day move-in discounts for anyone ready to reclaim their garage space before winter.
The event was all about community connection — bringing neighbours, families, and local businesses together to celebrate a new addition to the area. The Make Space Storage team was on-site to chat about storage options and share helpful tips on how to “make room for what matters.”
Thanks to everyone who stopped by, dressed up, and helped make the Mills Road grand opening a weekend highlight.
