What a Awesome week!
The Zone had a great time at the Luxton Fair! We enjoyed classic fair treats like corn dogs, mini donuts, snow cones, and a delicious homemade rhubarb pie. The rides were so much fun —especially the roller coaster and Ferris wheel—and of course we had to visiting the adorable animals, including chickens, ducks, pigeons, and sheep.
The Zone was down at the BC Boys Card Show event, and it was an awesome experience! Tons of people from the community came out to show off, sell, and trade their amazing collections of Pokémon cards, Magic: The Gathering cards, and sports cards. While I was there, I saw someone open a pack and pull a card worth over $100—it was so exciting! It was great to see the community come together, share their passions, and have such a fun time.
The Zone stopped by the Repair Café in the west shore to check out this great community gathering. Every week, people bring in broken items to get help fixing them or learn how to do it themselves—sometimes even bringing them back the next week if needed. Along with the repairs, there are tasty treats like fresh baked goods, coffee, and more. It’s a fun and sustainable way to bring the community together!

The RedBarn Bonspiel event is coming up soon! If you’re a qualifier, we look forward to seeing you on October 7th.
