Summers not over yet!
The zone started off this action packed week with a live remote at category 12 brewing! we met some very lovely people and ate one of the best Charcuterie boards we have had in recent memory. I cannot recommend their Fuzzy peach IPA enough, with the keating flyover now open its only a quick drive away!
Continuing with the trend of good food The Zone was live at Greek fest! Not only were we spoiled with plates and plates of Greek food but there was over 20 live performances from a variety of dance and music groups, some coming from as far away as Athens. If you couldn’t make it this year make sure you get the time off for next year
We really love food here at The Zone, so much so that we were at Pizza Al Forno the same day! Pizza Al Forno was giving out free pizza slices and coca-cola just for showing up at their new Saanich location. ill let you guess how many slices we ate. The BC childrens hospital was also on location fundraising for all the great work they do here in BC.
As often as we love to annoy everyone across the airwaves we do like to give back to the community! The rangers were hanging out in Sidney collecting non perishable food for the Saanich peninsula food bank. The food bank is always in need of donations, especially outside of the holiday season. They also accept cash donations and cash donations have three times the spending power, so keep that in mind when your thinking of donating!
Ending off our action packed weekend ranger Rem went to the BC aviation museum. They were having an open house weekend! when they do this you have free range to walk around the museum and even climb into some of the planes to get the full aviation experience! keep an eye out for their next open house for your chance to climb in some planes
