Don't June to conclusions
Summer is in full swing here at The Zone! Here’s some of the cool things we have been up to. We started our week of with our Vancouver Island Starter Pack Party! you might have heard of this little contest we have been hosting on our station, well the fruits of our labor have paid off and we held our party at spinnakers pub. Thanks to everyone who entered and thanks to Spinnakers for hosting!
On Friday we went to the Tillicum Shopping Centre to hang out with our friends at Liquor Co 1977 for their official launch party . They were hosting beer and wine tastings as well as giving away three fifty dollar gift cards!
Saturday we broadcasted live from Save On Foods celebrating their 110th birthday! Their was a whole wack of people at this event including but not limited to the Victoria Royals, Level Ground Coffee, Hazels Ice Cream and Oome tofu! They also had a BBQ cooking up 5$ hamburgers, all proceeds went to the BC Children’s Hospital!
We ended our action packed weekend of with the Big Gay Dog walk held at Banfield Park! We loved seeing everyone’s fabulous dogs and enjoyed shopping around the vendor tents and food trucks!
What's Next?
This week The Zone will be live at Langford Pride Friday. Saturday we will be at Andre’s Electronic Experts and lastly we will be ending our week off with a combo broadcast with our friends at the Q! for the annual Village Block Party in Cook Street Village.
