Alcoves is an alternative rock duo from Vancouver Island, crafting soundtracks for modern life with the windows rolled down and the volume up. Blending the raw edge of The Strokes with the cinematic introspection of Phoebe Bridgers, with the pop sheen of The 1975, Alcoves creates music that’s as emotionally charged as it is sonically expansive.
Formed by longtime friends and collaborators Garrett Olson and Robbie Townsend, Alcoves is a self-produced project rooted in storytelling. Their songs are rich with character-driven narratives and textured soundscapes, offering sharp commentary on growing up and falling apart in an age of overstimulation and existential dread. Each track is a window into a world that feels eerily familiar—aching, electric, and utterly alive.
