Victoria, B.C. – The Victoria Royals have announced the acquisition of 2007-born forward Daniel Morozov from the Wenatchee Wild in exchange for 2007-born forward Grant Reid.
Morozov was drafted 92nd overall in the fifth round of the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft by the Winnipeg ICE. Hailing from Port Coquitlam, B.C., Mozorov stands at 5’9” and 165 lbs.
Going the other way is Grant Reid. Victoria selected Reid in the third round of the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft. He spent the 2023-24 season with Yale Hockey Academy U18 Prep.
16-year-old Morozov suited up for Burnaby Winter Club U18 Prep this past season where he played 21 games, tallying 11 goals and 19 assists for 30 points. In his WHL draft eligible season, he scored 17 goals and 25 assists for 42 points which was third most on the Burnaby Winter Club U15 Prep team.
Morozov appeared in two regular-season games for the Wenatchee Wild during the 2023-24 campaign.
