Sad news for fans of the English trip hop collective, Massive Attack, today as the band have confirmed the death of their guitarist, Angelo Bruschini, after a battle with lung cancer.
“A singularly brilliant & eccentric talent,” wrote the band on X. “Impossible to quantify your contribution to the Massive Attack canon. How lucky we were to share such a life together.”
Bruschini joined Massive Attack in the 90s. He revealed back in July that he had been diagnosed with lung cancer.
“Had a great life, seen the world many many times, met lots of wonderful people, but the door is closing,” he wrote.
A few years back, I wrote about Massive Attack’s efforts to work with scientists to help live music reduce its carbon footprint.
Bruschini was 62 years old.
