The creative trend of Two-Sentence Horror Stories spawned from a thread that was posted to Reddit over a decade ago. Now the internet seems to flooded with them and I absolutely love it! They’re probably some of the most creative pieces of writing I’ve ever read. I figured some of these would make great sub-minute radio dramas. So just for fun, I took some of my faves and produced them into short audio pieces!
Have a listen:

I awoke to the sound of the baby monitor crackling with a voice comforting my firstborn child. As I adjusted to a new position, my arm brushed against my wife, sleeping next to me. –Doctordevice, via Reddit
There’s nothing like the laughter of a child. Unless it’s 3am, you’re alone in the house and you don’t have children. –original author unknown
My daughter won’t stop crying and screaming during the night. I visit her grave and ask her to stop, but it doesn’t help. –Author Unknown (reddit account deleted since posting)
“I can’t sleep” she whispered, crawling into bed with me. I woke up cold, clutching the dress she was buried in. –original author unknown
“I can’t move, breathe, speak or hear and it’s so dark all the time. If I knew it would be this lonely, I would have been cremated instead.” –Graboid27, via Reddit
I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, “Daddy check for monsters under my bed.” I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, “Daddy there’s somebody on my bed.” –justAnotherMuffledVo, via Reddit
Now THIS particular Two-Sentence Horror Story was also adapted into a short 60-second film in 2014. Have a look at this:
