Just last week in an episode of The Geek-out Podcast, webmeister Bud was talking about his love for rhythm games. This really only semi-relates to rhythm games but when I saw this, I immediately thought of him (100% up DJ Geekout‘s alley).
It’s an arcade cabinet (buttons, joystick and all) that’s also outfitted with a touchscreen, an XY controller, mic and direct inputs to patch in physical instruments. This arcade is meant to be used both for fun (for example, it actually has a game mode with a beat composition challenge) and as a stand-up audio workstation.
Check it out in this demo video produced by the arcade cabinet’s maker, Endlesss.

Here’s another video of the company taking the cabinet for a test drive at a party hosted by NBA star, Baron Davis.

Now, you might be thinking about picking up one of these bad boys for yourself (I’ve even been trying to work up the nerve to buy myself a couple retro arcade cabinets for my house)…but you should know that this specific machine comes with a pretty hefty price tag.
About $9,999 with a $200 non-refundable deposit. So for now, I’m just gonna re-watch these videos and go, “…..cool!”
