Bio
Liam Mackenzie & the Moondogs are a groove-heavy rock’n’roll outfit that takes its cues from the heartland to the American South, mixing country and roots with some blue eyed soul and 70’s funk thrown in for good measure.
The Moondogs are comprised of past and current members of respective bands Jets Overhead, Leeroy Stagger, and the Jesse Roper Band.
Liam has spent the past 15 years writing, recording, and touring between Vancouver, Toronto, and LA, having acted as direct support for such acts as John Fogerty, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Mudhoney, Thee Oh Sees, and more.
LM&TMD’s self titled EP was recorded at The Hive in North Saanich with Colin Stewart (Black Mountain, New Pornographers, Bedouin Soundclash, Yukon Blonde, and more) and was mastered in Victoria BC, courtesy of Leeroy Stagger.
