Bio
Chris Eriksen is a Victoria based musician that has worked with many groups throughout his career. He came onto the scene in 2014 as the lead singer of a 7 piece folk band he started with a group of friends. In the following years he was invited on tour across Canada with a local touring act, before finding himself on the radio with back to back singles as a supporting guitar player for Victoria based groups “Mad Mona” and “Trophy Dad”.
“Skov.” is his first original project to be released. Unconventionally, the band has had roughly 20 different members/musicians collectively through the recording process and live performances since it started in 2019. This trend mostly started due to availability of musicians, but it was quickly realized that this alternative approach left a lot to be imagined by the the selection of band members at any given time.
As Skov. continues to grow, the band is leaning towards a sound that has been described as “Dark Pop” with a mix of RnB and Rock. The group will continue its alternative methods as they continue to record new music for 2021.
