The 13 Most Instagrammed Places on Vancouver Island
May 20, 2017 Pol Plastino
Instagram and the super natural beauty of Vancouver Island are a perfect match. With a little help from Zoners and especially to celebrate the Victoria Day long weekend i have here compiled a list of the top most instagrammed scenery of our gorgeous island in the pacific!
13 – The Goldstream Trestle
It sure is photogenic, but does the scary factor bump this gem a little further down the list?
12 – Mt. Finlayson
There’s no shortage of mounts to hike up on the island – this one is a favourite.
11 – The Goats on the Roof in Coombs
Everyone loves goats on the roof – weirdly messing with their post number count – there is a place in the U.S. that also has… GOATS on ROOFS!
10 – The Sooke Potholes
Between the swimming holes themselves and the abandoned ruins at the top of the hill, i’m surprised it’s not higher on the list, frankly.
9 – Elk Falls
Looks like an amazing reason to visit your buds in Campbell River!
8 – Ogden Point
Functional as a breakwater – perfect as a romantic sunset walk spot. Beautiful even with the handrails.
7 – Mystic Beach
That waterfall – rope swing combo is pretty great alright.
6 – East Sooke
Between the park and the hiking trails it’s unreal!
5 – Cathedral Grove
Heck YES i’ll make a stop on the Forest Moon of Endor on the way to Port Alberni!
4 – The Inner Harbour
Boats, the Empress, the Ledge, and some pretty decent restaurants in the heart of tourist town. Makes sense.
3 – The Beaches of Tofino
Combing the tally of just a couple of the beautiful beaches of Canada’s surf capitol was enough to break the top 3!
2 – Butchart Gardens
Not a surprise the way the gardens attract tourists & locals alike. Didn’t count how many of these posts are of the creepy Piper piping at Christmstime though.
1 – Mt. Washington
Proof you can do it all right here on the island – Mt. Washington is the number one spot to throw it on Insta!
Honourable mention – Cherry Blossoms.
I can’t count this because of course it’s not a place and obvs Cherry Blossoms aren’t JUST on Vancouver Island, but boy does insta love them.
Not even counting tattoos of them!
