Warka Water has created a tower that extracts water from the air. The design won the  World Design Impact Prize, which is awarded to projects that positively impact world issues.

Here’s what it looks like…1To put it simply, it is a bamboo structure that uses mesh that is especially designed to harvest rain, fog, and dew from the air.  It can gather up to 100 litres of water per day, and can be constructed by a team of 10 people in just a handful of days. All of the material can be found locally.

Simple and effective!

Warka Water is looking to mass produce these towers by 2019.
