Radiohead released the digital version of its ninth studio album, titled A Moon Shaped Pool, on Sunday (May 8th). The set is available to download through iTunes as well as the band’s website, and can be streamed via Apple Music, Amazon and Tidal. There’s no word on when it would be streaming on Spotify or Soundcloud, although a rep for Spotify told Billboard.com that they would stream it “as soon as we can.” Radiohead did not comment on its choice of streaming options.
CD and vinyl editions are available for pre-order and will be available on June 17th through XL Recordings, along with a special edition combining both. The special edition contains bonus non-album tracks as well as 32 pages of artwork and a piece of a Radiohead half-inch master tape from an actual recording session, all of which is contained in special packaging. Each sliver of master tape will contain about three-quarters of a second of something from any Radiohead recording session dating back to 2000’s Kid A album.
