Mummified German Sailor (Only Dead A Week)

The German sailor whose mummified body was found slumped over a desk on his yacht last Friday (February 26th) off the Philippines had only been dead about a week, it was revealed yesterday (March 2nd).

That was the result of an autopsy carried out on the remains of 59-year-old Manfred Fritz Bajorat, who was found to have died of a heart attack. Instead of decomposing, his body was preserved, likely due to the dry and salty ocean air. Bajorat had reportedly been sailing around the world for the past 20 years.

Fisherman found the mummified captain slumped over in the cabin of the ghost ship.
