I can’t believe Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival is already over!!
Those 5 days zoomed by, filled with great vibes, SOO much dancing and big crowds of happy people.
Thank you Victoria BC Ska Society and the Victoria Ska Fest for an unreal 17th festival!
A 73 year old Toots gave an incredible performance with Toots and the Maytals in the pouring rain (but you wouldn’t know if cause it was all sunshiny vibes throughout the evening).

Lots of local talent and musicians from around the country and world!

dubfcThe first Amy Winehouse Tribute sold out and was brought back for a second round at Sugar nightclub on Ska Fest Friday, with a solid all star house band and The Fabulous LoLo joining in on vocals.

One of my most favourite performances was from Western Standard Time Ska Orchestra, Greg Lee has dance moves like no other!
Also the trumpet player in The Black Seeds kissed his trumpet, is that a good luck thing? I dunno but I love it!

blackseedsThe brass section joined the crowd for the last song

westernstandardSweet Leaf has been playing in my brain over and over again since they pumped up the Saturday afternoon crowd!

sweetleaf1 Our former Zone Band of The Month Lovecoast has to be one of the happiest bands in existence!
lovecoastThe rest of the band also performed in the evening as Dope Soda, what a busy day, but it was all smiles and great tunes during both performances!

Those are a few highlights from myself of this year’s 17th annual Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival.
I absolutely cannot wait until next year :O 😀
