Bottled water will be more popular than soda for the first time in North America this year. Some of the biggest U.S. bottled water companies, including PepsiCo Inc. and Coca-Cola Co., are saying that Americans have switched from carbonated beverages because their products are calorie-free and as portable as a can of soda. According to Beverage Digest, per capita consumption of carbonated soft drinks reportedly reached a 30 year low in 2015. (Bloomberg)
