Dive into the world of triathlons with confidence at the Saskia Says Beginner Triathlon Event – an amazing and inclusive experience happening at Saanich Commonwealth Place.
Join us for a triathlon that's not just a race, but an empowering journey. Saskia Says, 'You can do anything you set your mind to!'
Triathlons may seem daunting, but fear not! The beginner event is designed to be welcoming, supportive, and most importantly, FUN! Whether you're a first-timer or looking for a new challenge, this is the perfect place to start.
500m Pool Swim: Athletes will swim in heats depending on their estimated swim time. The swim is a short course (25m pool), offering a controlled and supportive environment for all participants to showcase their aquatic skills.
20km Road Course Accessible to All Cyclists: Bring any kind of bike you have – everyone is welcome to join the ride towards triumph. To ensure a fair and safe competition, please note that electric bikes and kickstands are not permitted during the event.
Walkable 4km Run Course: Not in the mood for a sprint? No problem! The 4km run course offers a bit of a challenge with hills, but you can conquer it at your own pace – walk, jog, or run, it's all about your personal achievement.
Sponsored by local businesses, this event is a celebration of community spirit. Discover fundraising opportunities, connect with fellow participants, and feel the uplifting support of friends and family cheering you on at the finish line. Fundraising efforts go towards supporting the Saanich Fire Fighters' Charitable Foundation. The athlete with the highest fundraising amount will win a special prize, making your journey towards triumph even more rewarding.
We believe in the power of inclusion. This triathlon provides opportunities for para-athletes to showcase their strength and determination. Everyone deserves a chance to experience the thrill of a triathlon!
Want to be a part of the action without participating? Volunteer opportunities are available, allowing you to contribute to the success of the event and be a crucial part of the supportive atmosphere.
