The 7th annual GottaCon Gaming Convention starts at 5:00 pm on Friday, February 27 and close at 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 1 -- with nightly shutdowns between 2:00 am and 8:30 am. GottaCon will have all you need to survive such an adventure; contests, tournaments, exhibitors, demonstrations, discussion panels, entertainment and of course all types of games.

Movember Madness: Quote-along Anchorman and Victoria's 1st Annual Moustache Competition

The Vic Theatre is putting on a Quote-Along screening of classic comedy Anchorman! Audience members are encouraged to break out of their glass cases of emotion by dressing up and quoting their favourite lines alongside Ron Burgundy and the Channel 4 News Team. With games, drinks, and a moustache contest, it’s the most fun you can have in a theatre.

Join us at the screening for Victoria’s 1st Annual Moustache Competition,  there will be prizes. To commemorate the occasion, The Vic will also be serving $7 (scotchy scotch) scotch, and $8 bourbon milkshakes.

Tickets are $15 and $5 from every ticket will be donated to The Prostate Centre in Victoria. Get your tickets in advance, as sales are sure to escalate quickly. This is a 19+ event.

Cook Street Village Activity Centre's Annual Christmas Craft Sale Saturday, November 29, 2014, 12:00 am

Victoria Eagles Bottle Drive Fundraiser Saturday, November 29, 2014, 12:00 am

The Victoria Eagles believe in giving back to the community, this year they have chosen to help the Walker family with their struggle. Tami Walker is a 47 year mother who needs a double lung transplant, which is the only option that remains. It is their responsibility for all post-op care costs, including housing, transportation and living expenses for the 3 to 6 months following the transplant.

Please help us help them on Saturday, November 29 from 9:00am - 3:00pm at Lambrick Park.

Victoria Eagles will also be going door to door in the Gordon Head area on Saturday, November 29. If you have bottles that you want picked up please email eaglesgiveback@victoriaeagles.com and we will gladly come by and get them.

Community members donate new or lightly used ggood quality items to George Jay Elementary School. On Emporium Day, all kids come down to the gym and go shopping for their family and friends. All items are $1 (unless clearly should be sold at a higher price) and all kids can buy up to four presents. 

We are accepting donations from December 1 - December 17 at Richmond School due to upgrades at George Jay. We always need Dad stuff, baby things and of course household items, bath and beauty, books, music, DVD's you name it. but please no Christmas style decorations. We do take wrapping paper, tape, tissue, small to medium boxes so we can wrap the gifts.

Proceeds for this event, go directly back to the school for filed trips and cultural events, like Multicultural Day!

Volunteers from Scouts Canada and Camp Barnard will be selling freshly cut Island grown Christmas trees, supporting camping programs for youth throughout Victoria and Vancouver Island.

The funds raised will be used directly for operations and development at Scouts Canada-owned Camp Barnard in Sooke. More info on Camp Barnard here.

The Victoria Odd Fellows Columbia Lodge #2 and Country Grocers are challenging Victoria businesses to put their "money where their love is" and support local families through The Mustard Seed this Christmas.

A donation of $500 will provide fresh food for anout 10 families (approx. 40 people) this holiday season and Country Grocer provides all food at cost.
