You're in luck! The quirky folk quartet will re-release their latest album on cassette - with an exclusive new track that you can't find anywhere else. West My Friend's new album "When The Ink Dries" was recently nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award, and they have just returned from a three-week European tour. Help welcome them back home! Peninsula Paddle for the Kids

at Brentwood Bay to The Gorge Victoria Canoe and Kayak Club 355 Gorge Road East

Members from the Victoria Canoe and Kayak Club will paddle for 10 long hours from Brentwood Bay to their club on the Gorge. This journey is 75km and is held each year to fundraise for Easter Seals Camp Shawnigan. This is to send local kids with disabilities to camp.

Time: 6:00am - 5:30pm. 

Greek Community Easter Bake Sale and Craft Fair Saturday, March 28 - Sunday, March 29, 2015
at Greek Community Hall 4648 Elk Lake Drive

Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm, free admission. There will be Greek baked goods to purchase as well as Greek Deli items and a snack bar for those who can not wait until they get home to try out their goodies. 

Proceeds from this sale go to support needy children in our local community.

The quilt show opens on Saturday, March 28 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm and runs through the month of April in honour of organizer Nancy Martens' best friend Jeanne Cloverdale. This show is about illustrating the power of friendship, raising funds for numerous hard-working cancer organizations as well as highlighting the amazing quilting community.

Entrance to the show is free, but donations are welcome. All funds raised from donations and the auction on Saturday, May 2 will go to the BC Cancer Foundation.

Hosted by the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, this event is a 2.5 /5 km walk/fun run around Ring Road. It is a stroller and wheelchair friendly event.

Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF)

We will be hosting a fundraiser for Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) at The Butchart Gardens. Tickets to this black tie event will include dinner, access to view The Gardens before and after the event until 10:00pm, music provided by a concert pianist as well as speeches throughout the evening.
 
The situations that MSF handles are extremely delicate, as they are often the first responders to any conflict worldwide. For more than 40 years, MSF have been providing medical help to people caught in many kinds of catastrophes, including armed conflicts, natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes, epidemics of disease and malnutrition crisis.
