Portland snapped a two game losing skid, while Victoria was unable to earn back to back wins on their 5 game home stand (1-2-0-1) which wraps up Saturday night in the rematch.
The Winterhawks take a 2-1 season series lead after the clubs split in Portland earlier this year.
Victoria drops 5 back of first place Kelowna in the BC Division, while remaining 5 ahead of third place Vancouver.

Victoria now scored on the power play 74 times this season which is the most among all WHL clubs. The Royals’ are now a man-advantage goal away from tying the Victoria record for most power play tallies in a season with 75, which was set in the 2015-16 campaign.
