The Victoria Royals were busy making several roster moves just ahead of Wednesday’s 2pm WHL Trade Deadline.Victoria started the day by acquiring forward 19 year old, 6-0, 182 lb forward Lane Zablocki from Lethbridge, in exchange for a second and sixth round draft pick in the 2018 Bantam Draft along with a conditional pick in 2019. Zablocki is a 3rd round pick of the Detroit Red Wings in 2017, and in 40 games this season, has 25 points (11g-14a) and 61 penalty minutes.

Hope on trading Florchuk to Saskatoon:
They then used those first round selections, along with prospects going both ways, to acquire the Captain of the Brandon Wheat Kings, Tanner Kaspick. The 19 year old 6-1, 206 lb forward is drafted and signed by the St. Louis Blues. This season Kaspick has 37 points (11g-25a) in 35 games, along with 43 penalty minutes. He was a member of Team WHL, and helped Brandon win the WHL Championship in 2016.

Kaspick and Zablocki are both expected to be in the line up this weekend as the Royals entertain the Blazers for a pair of games Friday and Saturday.
