The Victoria Royals fell 4-3 to the Prince Albert Raiders Wednesday night, to wrap their 7 game road trip with a 3-4 record.
The Royals got goals from Regan Nagy, Igor Martynov and Tyler Soy, while Matthew Phillips pushed his point streak to 15 games, setting the franchise record. Dean McNabb made 33 saves in the loss.

Road Trip Recap – The Royals played the final contest of their season-long seven-game road swing tonight and finished the trip with a 3-4-0-0 mark. So far, the club has traveled a total of 4,336 kilometres over two weeks, and will now make the 1,787-kilometre drive back to Victoria.
Matthew Phillips (6g-5a), Tyler Soy (5g-6a) and Regan Nagy (7g-4a) shared the team lead in points over the seven games, each with 11.
Record Breaker – With an assist in tonight’s contest, Royals’ forward Matthew Phillips has now recorded points in 15 straight games to set the new franchise record for the longest point streak. The previous high was set by Mark Santorelli who registered points in 14 consecutive contests during the 2006-2007 season with the Chilliwack Bruins.
Former Royal – Raiders’ defenceman Brayden Pachal faced off against his former club tonight. Pachal spent two seasons (2015-17) as a member of the Royals, where he registered nine points (1g-8a) over 75 games played.
Goals Aplenty – With a goal tonight, Victoria forward Regan Nagy continued his hot streak as he has recorded four markers in his last two games and 14 goals in his previous 11 contests. The Ogema, SK native sits second in the WHL for most tallies with 14.
