A few weeks ago I was broadcasting from a car wash fundraiser that Carstar Pre Tech Collision had orchestrated to raise awareness and funds towards finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. It was an UNREAL four hours, with over sixty Zoners coming out to get their car cleaned, maybe have a cheeky by donation burger for lunch, or enter for some prizes. When all was said an done, in just four hours they raised $4671.75!
That day I met the Strange family, Dave, Heather, and their son Carter. Carter is a young man that lives with Cystic Fibrosis, and after watching his cheeky, sassy, high energy self run about the street hustling cars and getting stuck in cleaning them, I KNEW Zoners needed to meet this family too.
So, here’s out chat about their experience of Cystic Firbosis as a family, and if you want to help find a cure, maybe go for a walk this weekend?
Here’s our chat, and be warned, it features some dodgy English accent attempts…
