Independent MLA, Vicki Huntington has been working tirelessly to ban applause at the B.C Legislature. She says “It’s about 20 minutes a week we use in applause”, when that time could be reserved for important question periods.
I understand that time is of the essence, but have you ever finished a passionate speech and in return all you got were some awkward faces and squeaky-chair noises? It’s hilariously uncomfortable.
Well, Huntington finally gets to the podium to introduce her ban with a passionate speech and guess how the audience reacts?
