Island Community Mental Health is inviting the community to join them as they celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week, as well as their 60th anniversary providing services to the Capital Region. They are holding a FREE celebration at 125 Skinner street from 2:15-5:00PM on Friday May 6th.
Island Community Mental Health (formerly known as Capital Mental Health Association) helps more than 1,000 individuals experiencing mental health and/or addictions issues each year through a variety of supportive programs. The event will feature guest speakers, live music, coffee/tea/cake/cookies, and a chance to check out the different programs the agency has to offer.
More information can be found by calling the main office at 250-389-1211 or going to their website at islandcommunitymentalhealth.ca
With that, I had the lovely Kaitlyn stop by to discuss what they do, and their plans for the week.
Here’s the poster.
Thanks for stopping by,
